I apologize for this late post. I really thought I had introduced myself previously, but I don't see my reply in the discussion. I am Detective K--a newbie at social media, but extremely enthusiastic about becoming a novice. I first must overcome my fears of identify theft, security, and accessibility. If I had similar fears about driving, I would never get on the roadways. This MOOC experience is proving to be a good start for me. I am a retired teacher and state-level administrator and currently am a freelance educational consultant.

Late does not matter so much in MOOCs. Thinking I have written or replied is something I do too. Thinking about posting or what you are going to write can lead to thinking you have already written. That's also what it feels like to be a student. Now, I must confess, I need to go back and check Detective designations. I feel more like tracked than tracker

Actually I introduced myself a while back but welcomes are welcome at any time. After PLENK2010, CCK11, LAK11. and (among others) the big mother Change11, I know that if wasn't open (and 24/7 at that), it wouldn't be a mooc, however massive, modest or scaled.
