Welcome Elizabeth! There are a few fellow librarians among the group. I hope that you will learn some ways to integrate your student's socil media skills with your own. Its all about bridging the learning.

Hi! I'm a teacher-librarian at an awesome 5-6 school on a small island near Seattle, WA. I blog at http://infoandlit.blogspot.com. I tweet at @katellisonsea. I'm excited about thinking about ways to engage my tween students about social networking and help them become more mindful about their online "brand."
Hi Verena and classmates. I've just left a high school teaching position and am moving to a small liberal arts college this fall, so the time is right to investigate current technology and bring myself up to speed with what goes on in the ether. I'm excited to be participating in this course!
Hi everyone,
I'm Rosemary and I'm a library science grad student in New York. I've got three sons, ages 12, 8, and 1 month, and am hoping to get at least one of my two older boys into this class with me. (To my 13-year old: high school applications!) I'm looking forward to working with all of you in class!
I'm Evan from Los Angeles. Hello everybody. I am currently a collections librarian at an arts college in Los Angeles, I also give instructional presentations to our students and look for ways to use technology in promoting resources, sharing tech and fostering play and risk with technology, and helping others to curate information. I am generally always on the lookout for innovative libraries and library practices, in particular smart uses of technology.
I am interested in moving further into supporting virtual services and e-learning, and have been thinking about community college libraries lately--it seems that there are real opportunities to make a difference in the lives of cc students, be fully invested and active in fostering lifelong learning skills, helping others develop PLNs, and work with cc students toward professional development for life after graduation. I am really thrilled to be a part of this community here, DigiFoot12, and there seem like many great folks to share with and learn from. Thank you.
@Kathleen, @Patricia, @Rosemary and @Evan
Wow! Four library focused participants in a row! Thank you for joining us and I hope that you can engage in some great discussions and deeper learning! It is exciting to see how many different teaching fields are covered - even just among the "library focused" groups. I look forward to seeing what you will all bring to the group! Thanks for joining.
Verena :)
Not to mention all the annotated links to share...
My name is Marie MacDonald. I just competed my first year teaching Technology in an underserved area. I am excited for ideas and possibilities....
Hello! I am Polly Simpkins and I am a technology integration specialist for two middle schools in Coppell ISD located in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. I am so excited to be involved in the MOOC and to learn alongside other educators. Thrilled to begin my exploration of digital footprints and to take my involvement with social media to the next level.
Hi my name is Vanessa. Later than the White Rabbit but finally here. I think missed a crucial step when I signed up (joined DF12 wiki and student 2.0 but apparently not group) so wasn't on list for daily email. Oops, start date slipped my mind but I finally remember and went looking for DigiFoot's digital footprint
